Eid ul Fitr celebrated with great religious fervor

Eidul Fitr observed across the country on wednesday with religious zeal and fervor. Big Eid congregations were held at open places, mosques and Eidgahs in all major cities and towns across the country.

The Ulema in their sermons highlighted the significance and philosophy of Eidul Fitr.

Special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of the country and welfare of the Muslim Ummah.

Prayers were also be offered for early liberation of occupied Muslim territories including Kashmir and Palestine.

ISLAMABAD

In the federal capital, the main eid congregation was held at the Faisal Mosque where President Arif Alvi along with parliamentarians, diplomats of Islamic countries and a large number of faithful offered their eid prayers.

On the occasion, special prayers were offered for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan and the entire Muslim Ummah.

The President later mixed up with the people and exchanged eid greetings.

LAHORE

In Punjab, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar offered Eid prayer in Lahore.

The main congregation was held at Badshahi Mosque, which was attended by Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.

KARACHI 

In Karachi, the day dawned with 21 gun-salutes while special prayers were offered for the safety, security and prosperity of the country and unity of Muslim ummah.

The main Eid congregation was held at Gulshan-e-Jinnah (old Polo Ground).

Meanwhile, Sindh Government has made elaborate security arrangements to maintain law and order situation in the province especially in Karachi.

KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Eid-ul-Fitr congregations were held in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar and different areas of Dera Ismail Khan divisions.

In Peshawar, the main congregation was held at Sonehri Masjid Peshawar.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman offered Eid prayer in Nathia Gali, Abbottabad. After the prayer, the Governor mixed with the general public and exchanged Eid greetings with them.

Chief Minister Mehmood Khan met with the people belonging to different walks of life and greeted Eid with them.

Similar congregations ware also held throughout the province.

Tight security measures have been taken to maintain peaceful atmosphere in the province on the occasion of Eid.

QUETTA

Like rest of the country, Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in Balochistan with religious zest and zeal.

In Quetta, more than 180 Eid prayer’s congregations were held at open places, Imambargahs and Eid Gah’s while the main congregation was held at Eidgah Toghi Road Quetta.

The Governor Balochistan, Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Jam Kamal Khan offered Eid prayer at Governor House in Quetta.

The Chairman Senate Mir Sadiq Sanjrani and Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Muhammad Qasim Khan Suri are also celebrating Eid in Quetta.

It is pertinent to mention here that Governor House Balochistan will remain open for two days of Eid for general public from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.   

GILGIT-BALTISTAN  

Eid-ul-Fitr is also being celebrated in Gilgit-Baltistan with traditional zeal. 

In Gilgit, the main Eid congregations were held in Lalik Jan Shaheed Ground and Imamia Eidgah in Jutial Gilgit where thousands of faithful offered Eid prayer.

Governor Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon is celebrating Eid in his native Town in Skardu.

Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman offered prayer in Lalik Jan Ground.

Later, he met with people and greeted them Eid GB administration has adopted elaborate security arrangements at Eidgahs.
