Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Syed Fakhar Imam says any change in the Indian constitution regarding the status of Jammu and Kashmir is sheer violation of the UN Security Council resolutions on the Kashmir issue.
Talking to media after in-camera meeting of the committee in Islamabad on Monday, he said Kashmir is a disputed territory and the future of occupied Kashmir has to be decided by the Kashmiris through plebiscite.
Syed Fakhar Imam said the international community needs to take notice of India's violation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir issue.
The Chairman said the purpose of holding special meeting of the committee was to send a message to India that Pakistan is standing with Kashmiris.
He said the committee agreed on a resolution on the issue, which will be tabled in the National Assembly today.
The Chairman said international organizations in their reports have exposed Indian forces' brutalities in Occupied Kashmir.
