In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has hailed the freedom-loving people of the territory for observing August 5 as Black Day to convey a strong message to Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government that they reject its illegal actions in the territory.

On 05 August 2019, the Modi regime revoked the special status of IIOJK in gross violation of the UN resolutions and international law and imposed military siege in the territory.

The APHC Working Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that despite coercive measures of the occupation authorities, the people of IIOJK defeated the military arrogance of India by observing complete shutdown yesterday.

The APHC leader also expressed gratitude to the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmiri diaspora, the people and Government of Pakistan, especially Prime Minister Imran Khan, for their sincere support to make the Hurriyat programme a grand success and observing Youm-e-Istehsaal.

He said the people of Kashmir never feel isolated in leading the ongoing resistance movement to its logical conclusion as long as Pakistan and its people continue to support them on moral, political and diplomatic fronts.

Meanwhile, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two more Kashmiri youth during a violent cordon and search operation in Thanamandi area of Rajouri district in Jammu region.

The occupation authorities suspended the mobile service in the area. The operation was going on till last reports came in.

Meanwhile, an Indian soldier committed suicide by hanging himself inside an army camp in Manasbal area of Ganderbal district.

This incident raised the number of such deaths amongst the Indian troops and police personnel in the occupied territory to 510 since January 2007.

Meanwhile, Kashmiri-Americans of diverse backgrounds have called for reversing the changes brought in Jammu and Kashmir since August 5, 2019.

In a memorandum addressed to Indian Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that the Indian decision of abrogating article 370 and 35 A that guarantees the special status of the State of Jammu and Kashmir has been rejected not only by the Kashmiri diaspora leadership of all political parties but also by the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

It was handed over to the India Embassy where Kashmiris and their supporters staged a protest demonstration to mark the second anniversary of the Indian siege of the occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
