President Dr Arif Alvi has urged Ulema to perform their role in character building of the nation and in discouraging fake news.

Talking to Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Noorul Haq Qadri during a meeting in Islamabad today [Saturday], he said, mosque has a vital role in spreading the teachings of Islam regarding social issues.

The President expressed hope the formation of Rehmatul lil Aalameen Authority would help disseminate knowledge about the glorious seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and in character building of the nation.
