The United Nations has called on the international community to help Afghanistan as humanitarian crisis in the war-torn country is worsening.

Addressing a video news conference in New York, the World Food Program's Country Director for Afghanistan Mary-Ellen McGroarty urged the international community to be more generous in providing aid to Afghanistan as it prepares for the dreaded winter season.
