A week-long training workshop on "Digital Radio Migration" began at Pakistan Broadcasting Academy, Islamabad on Monday.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Radio Pakistan's Director Engineering Kamran Saeed said Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation has taken effective initiatives to digitalize its transmission.

He said Digital Radio Migration policy of the government has been approved by the PBC Board of Directors in which Digital Radio Mondiale standard has been recommended as it is suitable for Pakistan.   

PBA Principal Tariq Chaudhary briefed the participants about the objectives of the course and expressed hope that the training will prove useful for the participants.
