Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has deferred his planned visit to Bangladesh on 17th of this month in view of the Coronavirus outbreak.

New Delhi issued the statement a day after the Bangladesh government revised the planned grand opening of the yearlong celebration of the Mujib Year hours after the detection of first three Coronavirus cases in the country.

The visit has also been cancelled as massive protest rally by the people in Dhaka over recent violence against Muslims in India in connection with new controversial citizenship law has called on Bangladesh government to cancel the visit of Indian Prime Minister.
