Under Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar's direction, a special meeting of Cabinet Committee for Corona Control was held in Lahore which took important decisions to protect the public from the second Corona wave.

The meeting decided to impose smart lockdown in areas with Corona cases. Strict notice was taken on violation of Corona SOPs in some markets and business places. The meeting decided to shut such markets where violation is being committed.

Addressing the meeting, Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said that a number of positive cases are being increased in the province which is an alarming situation. She said that the Health Department will purchase more PRC Kits to conduct more Corona tests.

In his address, Industries Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal said that every necessary measure will be taken to control the second Corona wave. He said that ensuring public health is our top priority.

The meeting decided to declare Rawalpindi Institute of Urology as Corona Hospital.
