Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Shehryar Khan Afridi has said that the world needs to learn from Pakistan the way it has set a model of equal treatment to minorities.
Addressing a seminar in connection with World Minorities Day in Islamabad today (Tuesday), he said sole objective to observe this day is to make the whole world realise the significance of the rights of minorities.
He said that Indian government has unleashed a reign of terror against its minorities and Muslims are specifically being lynched under a vicious plan of genocide.
Speaking on the occasion, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan said there is full religious freedom for minorities in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the RSS regime in India is propagating and practicing fascism.
Head of Comprehensive Disaster Response Services and US citizen Todd Shea, who is working to help earthquake victims in Azad Kashmir, said that the hypocrisy of the United States and its media reflected a very wrong picture of Pakistan.
Todd Shea said Pakistan is far ahead of the countries of the region in terms of treatment to minorities.
