In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference, expressing deep concern over unrestricted state terrorism, says innocent youth are brutally slaughtered by Indian troops for demanding UN-pledged right to self-determination.
In a statement in Srinagar, APHC General Secretary Molvi Bashir Ahmad deplored silence of world community over loss of precious lives in the occupied territory.
He called upon international human rights organizations to hold India accountable for genocide of Kashmiri Muslims and its crimes against humanity in the territory.
In another statement, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Dar criticized brutal Indian forces for using lethal weapons against Kashmiri youth in the territory.
He asked UN to send a fact-finding mission to IIOJK.
Meanwhile, an analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service, today said media in IIOJK is under a serious threat as it is repeatedly targeted and vilified by Modi led fascist Indian occupational forces.
The report, quoting findings of Vienna-based International Press Institute said India is using a mix of harassment, intimidation, surveillance and online information control to silence critical voices and force journalists to resort to self-censorship.
The report said New Delhi was trying in vain to hide its crimes by stifling media in the occupied territory.
Meanwhile, IIOJK Bar Association, which is under pressure from fascist Indian regime for its adherence to UN-sanctioned disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir has formed an ad-hoc committee to be headed by advocate Nazir Ahmed Ronga till elections.
India has barred lawyers’ body from holding elections saying its constitution terms Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory and seeks its settlement in accordance with UN resolutions.
