UK MP expresses concern over HR abuses by Indian troops in IOK

Member of UK Parliament from the Labour Party, Judith Cummins, has expressed serious concern over the human rights abuses in occupied Kashmir, particularly since August, last year, when India revoked the special status of the territory.

In a statement issued in London today, Judith Cummins under the need to redouble efforts towards securing a safe and peaceful future for the people of Kashmir.

She urged the UK government to play its role within the international community in securing a peaceful solution of Kashmir issue by facilitating genuine dialogue between Pakistan and India

She expressed all out support to all peaceful and diplomatic efforts to grant Kashmiris their right to self-determination as mandated by the UN Security Council resolutions.
