Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood briefed the Diplomatic Corps in Islamabad on Monday on arrangements made by Pakistan to facilitate the evacuation of members of international community from Afghanistan.
In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said the international community members, diplomats and staff, representatives of international organizations, INGOs, the media, and others, were informed that all requests for evacuation and relocation may be directed to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which will be processed expeditiously.
He said Pakistan Embassy in Kabul continues to issue visas on a fast-track basis. Given the evolving situation, procedures have also been put in place to grant visas-on-arrival at Pakistan's international airports.
The spokesperson said a special Inter-Ministerial Cell/Facilitation Centre has been established in Interior Ministry to facilitate visa and arrival matters.
