Hurriyat Conference has deplored that India has kept the entire population of the territory hostage and deprived the people of all their basic rights and freedoms since 1947.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman said that Indian troops were killing innocent Kashmiris, molesting women and committing other brutalities.
He said that resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions is imperative to bring an end to Indian atrocities in IIOJK and sought the role of world community to play its role in this regard.
Meanwhile, Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema Jammu and Kashmir, an umbrella body of religious organizations in IIOJK condemned the authorities for continuing to keep its chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under arbitrary house detention even in Ramadan.
National Conference leader, Hasnain Masoodi, and Communist Party of India Marxist leader, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, in their interviews in Srinagar also called for release of the Mirwaiz.
In Paris, the Jammu and Kashmir Forum France organised a protest against the gross human rights violations by Indian troops in IIOJ&K.
