The Saudi Chief of General Staff, General Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, has expressed full support for Pakistan's efforts for peace in the region.

He expressed the support while meeting Chief of the Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ in Rawalpindi along with a high level military delegation. 

According to ISPR, geo-strategic environment, security situation in Afghanistan and matters of mutual interest were discussed in the meeting.

The two sides also exchanged views on bilateral defence cooperation and Training Exchange Programme during the meeting.  

The Saudi delegation acknowledged Pakistan Army's achievements in war against terrorism and contributions for regional peace and stability.

The Saudi Chief of General Staff thanked Pakistan Army for its sustained assistance in training of Saudi Armed Forces and expressed his desire to enhance bilateral defence collaboration.
