In India, a mob of Hindu hardliners has attacked and set fire to the home of a former Indian Foreign Minister, Salman Khurshid in the northern city of Nainital.

This is the latest incident of persecution of Muslims in India which has been inflamed under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Salman Khurshid, a Muslim from Congress party had unmasked the true face of the RSS and Indian fascist regime of Narendara Modi in his new book.

In a statement, the Police Commissioner Jagdish Chandra said the frenzy mob shouted slogans, threw stones, ransacked and set the house ablaze. 

He said they also burnt an effigy of Salman Khurshid, fired shots and threatened his daughter-in-law with a gun.
