At the United Nations, Pakistan has underscored the need for the world body's peacekeeping missions to have a clear set of priorities to face the challenges in conflict zones around the world.

Acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Mohammed Aamir Khan speaking at the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations in New York said a robust and effective peacekeeping Mission also requires well-equipped human and material resources.

Aamir Khan said since 1949, Pakistan hosts a peacekeeping mission, the UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan which is a critical factor for stability in our region.
