Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says the UN Security Council has lost its importance by not inviting Pakistan to its meeting on Afghanistan.
In an interview with Sky News, he held India responsible for not inviting Pakistan to the special meeting of the Security Council on Afghanistan.
Quoting UN charter V, Article 39, the Minister said any affected country has the right to speak in the UN Security Council.
He said Pakistan was the biggest victim of the Afghan war with 80,000 casualties and economic losses to the tune of billions of rupees.
Fawad Chaudhry said Pakistan will closely work with International community for ensuring the respect of human rights and fundamental rights of women in Afghanistan.
He said right now, there is no influx of refugees from Afghanistan into Pakistan, but the government is ready to deal with any deteriorated situation.
