CJ directs for closure of all clinics being run by quacks in KP

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has directed for closure of all clinics being run by quacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa within a week.   

He issued the directive while hearing a case regarding quacks in Supreme Court Registry, Peshawar on Friday.

The Chief Justice directed the authorities of Healthcare commission to present to him a report about the actions so far taken against quackery.

The Chief Justice was informed by Chairman Healthcare Commission that there are fifteen thousand quacks in the province and action has been taken against one hundred twenty two quacks so far.

Justice Mian Saqib Nisar issued directives to reopen the case regarding recruitment of a matriculate person as a doctor in Hyatabad complex, Peshawar.

Hearing another case about supply of drinking water in Peshawar, the Chief Justice regretted that there is no water testing laboratory in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He directed that water sample should be tested in Punjab province to ensure supply of clean drinking water to the people.

The Chief Justice also directed for installation of water sabeels in Peshawar city to facilitate general public.

Meanwhile, presenting a report to the Chief Justice about withdrawal of security from unentitled persons, IG Police Salahuddin Mehsud said one thousand seven hundred sixty-nine security guards and gunmen have been recalled.

The chief Justice appreciated the performance of IGP.
