Prime Minister Imran Khan has called for open hearing of the foreign funding case of all political parties, including Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf for clarity of the issue among the masses.
Talking to media persons at Cadet College Wana in South Waziristan, he said I ask for open hearing or even on live television of the foreign funding case with all parties, including PPP, PML-N, JUI-F, and PTI sitting there.
The Prime Minister said the PTI is the pioneer of political fund-raising campaign and has all the records of fund donations, including the names of 40,000 people.
He regretted that how the funds collected from the oversees Pakistanis, whose remittances are playing a major role in running the country, could be described as foreign funding.
About the gathering of the opposition parties' alliance outside the Election Commission of Pakistan, Imran Khan said the nation has rejected their nefarious designs and their movement is just a drama to get an NRO through blackmailing tactics.
Replying to a question, he said with the grace of Allah Almighty, the situation is improving and despite the COVID-19 pandemic the country's economic indicators were showing positive trends, including enhanced exports, positive current account in 17 years and boom in Large Scale Manufacturing sector and textile industry.
To another question, the Prime Minister said that tribal areas, which were neglected in the past, need our special attention to alleviate poverty and remove unemployment.
He said the government will give special packages to the tribal districts to ensure developments in these areas.
