Pakistan has strongly rejected remarks of Indian Ministry of External Affairs over comments by the Pakistani leadership regarding minorities' rights in India.

The FO spokesperson in a press release termed the remarks as irresponsible and completely ill-founded.

It further said treatment with minorities in India is a matter of serious concern not only for the minorities and the neighbouring countries but also for the international community.

The spokesperson advised India to take effective steps to protect the fundamental rights of minorities especially Muslims in the country.
