Rs14,327m allocated for projects of protection of environment to meet challenge of climate change

The government will spent 14,327 million rupees for projects of protection of environment to meet the challenge of climate change issue under Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).

In the current fiscal budget, the government has enhanced the allocation for Public Sector Development Program by increasing 38 percent from 650 billion to 900 billion rupees.

According to details of allocation for climate change division, 14,027 million rupees will be spent on ongoing projects while 300 million rupees on new schemes.

The ongoing projects included Climate Resilient Urban Human Settlements Unit, Establishment of Pakistan WASH Strategic Planning and Coordination Cell, Islamabad and Ten Billion Tree Tsunami Programme, Phase-I" Up-Scaling of Green Pakistan Programme (Revised). New scheme is the Capacity Building on Water Quality Monitoring and SDG 6, Islamabad.
