Analysts hope an inclusive government in Afghanistan will lead to peace and prosperity
August 22, 2021

Fawad Chaudhry (Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting): I congratulate Radio Pakistan on sending its team to Kabul and getting firsthand information. Radio Pakistan has conducted an important interview of Hezb-e-Islami Chief. Formation of the government in Afghanistan must be inclusive and people friendly. The most important thing is the development of Afghanistan. It is appreciable that the conditions in Afghanistan are heading in the right direction. Pakistan desires an Afghanistan which is stable and peaceful. Despite the fact that India does not share any border with Afghanistan, the New Delhi government is trying to interfere in the internal matters of Afghanistan. Digitalization is a powerful tool to effectively communicate with the masses. It is high time for us to improve our media and counter the anti-Pakistan narrative.

Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal (IR Expert): India has been investing in Afghanistan to destabilize Pakistan. India has emerged as the biggest loser in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of US troops. New Delhi is now trying to sabotage the peaceful formation of a new government in Afghanistan. India has been using Afghan soil for spoiling peace in Pakistan. Taliban have emerged as a matured political group. Taliban are willing to positively engage with neighboring countries and the entire world.

Ali Muhammad Khan (Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs): Prime Minister Imran Khan has always advocated a peaceful resolution of Afghan dispute. He has always opposed the military solution of Afghan dispute and emphasized on the need of resolving the Afghan issue through negotiations. Pakistan has played an effective role as a facilitator for the resolution of Afghan issue. The world has acknowledged Islamabad’s stance regarding Afghanistan. It is appreciable that Taliban have announced a no revenge policy after taking over the power. Pakistan is committed to play its active role for the formation of a people friendly government in Afghanistan.

Najam us Saqib (Former Ambassador): Pakistan is pursuing an effective diplomacy for peace in Afghanistan. There is no favorite of Pakistan in Afghanistan and we always desire for an inclusive government in the neighboring country. The new government in Afghanistan must work for the welfare of Afghan people. Pakistan is working carefully to devise a policy to work with the new government in Afghanistan. Pakistan is highly concerned about the role of India in Afghanistan. Taliban have committed that there will be no extremism in Afghanistan. Pakistan is open heartedly facilitating the foreigners in Afghanistan without any prejudice and discrimination.
