In Afghanistan, five people were killed while 20 others wounded in a roadside bomb blast in Kandahar province.

According to the police, the incident happened when a passenger vehicle was hit by a mine on Kabul-Kandahar Highway in Maiwand district.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the blast.
