Minister for Ports for Shipping Ali Haider Zaidi says inflation rate in PTI government during the first eight months is less than that of PPP and PML-N governments in the corresponding period.

Talking to media persons outside Parliament House in Islamabad this afternoon, he said inflation in PPP government was recorded as 25 percent, while it was 10.9 percent in the PML-N government during their first eight months. In the current PTI government, he said, inflation rate so far was 9.4 percent.

The Minister said the government has to pay back nine billion dollars of the debt this year.

He said the amount of the heavy loans gotten by the last two government had been transacted abroad through money laundering by the Sharif and Zardari families.
