Covid19: Zafar urges to avoid congregations during Ramazan

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza has again urged citizens to demonstrate responsibility and avoid congregations during Ramazan to protect themselves from Covid-19. 

Addressing a news briefing in Islamabad on Saturday evening, he said overseas Pakistani health experts can register themselves at website yaranewatan.gov.pk, which was launched yesterday, while another web portal telehealth.gov.pk has also been launched today, where local premedical staff can register themselves. 

He informed that a Chinese company has offered Pakistan to provide vaccination against Coronavirus, which is under preparation mode and Pakistan has sought details of the vaccination from the company.

Talking about nationwide tally of Coronavirus cases, he said number of confirmed cases have soared to 12,227 across the country with Punjab 5,046 , Sindh 4,232, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 1,708, Balochistan 656, Islamabad 223, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 55 and Gilgit Baltistan 307.

He said 2,755 patients have recovered so far, while the virus has claimed 256 deaths so far.
