APHC strongly condemns India's ongoing imposition of open prison scenario in IIOJK

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned India's ongoing imposition of an open prison scenario in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Senior APHC leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah, currently incarcerated in New Delhi's Tihar Jail, conveyed a message denouncing the plight of Kashmiri civilians under the oppressive presence of one million Indian troops.

He underscored India's targeting of Kashmiri properties as a form of political vendetta driven by the agenda of the Modi-led Hindutva government.

APHC leader called upon the United Nations Secretary General and the international community to address the Kashmir dispute in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

In parallel, amidst reports of the Indian government intimidating families of Hurriyat leadership to dissociate from the pro-freedom ideology, Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti in a statement in Srinagar condemning these actions as clear violations of human rights.

She stressed that targeting families of Hurriyat leaders and activists solely based on their political beliefs is unjust.
