In India, students of Jawaharlal Nehru University have boycotted classes to express solidarity with the victims of the communal violence in northeast Delhi.

Delhi University students also took out a peace march in the campus for communal harmony.

Forty two people have been killed while over two hundred injured in New Delhi communal riots.
