Analysts call upon world to provide financial assistance to Afghanistan to avert humanitarian crisis
October 30, 2021

Dr. Rasheed Ahmad Khan (IR Expert): International community should take more steps to provide assistance to Afghanistan to avert a humanitarian crisis in the war torn country. International powers want to help Afghan people through NGOS instead of Taliban government. The US is not serious about releasing billions of dollars of Afghan funds. It is responsibility of the international community to appeal the US to release Afghan funds. The world powers are demanding from the Taliban government to stop their intransigent stance on many issues.

Dr. Shahid Hassan Siddiqui (Economist): The US changed its strategy after pulling out troops from Afghanistan. They are not serious about releasing the Afghan funds. Taliban Government is facing a multitude of challenges and needs help from world community. China is ready to make a huge investment in Afghanistan for prosperity and well-being of Afghans. The US is taking steps to destabilize the Afghan government.

Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Naeem Khalid Lodhi (Defense Analyst): The world is divided into three groups regarding Afghan issue.  First group is dominated by the US and India that wants to destabilize the current Afghan set up. Second group includes Pakistan, Russia and China that want peace and stability in Afghanistan at any cost. Rest of the world stands neutral on Afghan issue. A lot of Afghan people want to migrate to Pakistan so Islamabad must devise a policy about Afghan refugees. The US does not want to stabilize Afghan economy due to its own interests.
