Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan and China are all weather friends and the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to China will further strengthen close ties between two brotherly countries.

Chairing a preparatory meeting for Prime Minister's upcoming visit to China via video conference with Ambassador of Pakistan in Beijing and senior officials of the Embassy, he said high level contacts are an important facet of the bilateral relationship.

The Foreign Minister underscored that China Pakistan Economic Corridor has added another important socio-economic development dimension to the bilateral relationship.

He said the leadership of both the countries has expressed strong desire and commitment to successful implementation of CPEC. The Prime Minister is scheduled to pay his first three-day official bilateral visit to China from Friday.

During his visit, he will meet the Chinese leadership in Beijing and also visit Shanghai to participate in the First China International Import Expo as a guest of honor.
