In a statement in Srinagar, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas said IIOJK has witnessed an upsurge in extrajudicial killings and arbitrary arrests.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the blast took place in Batal area of the district.

The APHC spokesperson expressed hope that both Pakistan and India would avoid war over Kashmir and return to a meaningful dialogue process to resolve the issue in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The call for observance of the day has been given by the government of Pakistan

According to Kashmir Media Service, during the month, Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force and police arrested thirty-seven civilians, mostly political activists, youth and students.
