Information Minister Shibli Faraz has said the use of latest technology in the Senate elections will ensure transparency and make possible identification of votes.

In a tweet today, he termed the Supreme Court's opinion in the Presidential Reference a historic one.

He said those who used to indulge in malpractices in the polls of upper house will be disappointed today. He said today is a bad day for the conscience sellers.

The Information Minister said it is the triumph of Prime Minister Imran Khan's ideology of transparency in elections.

Earlier, talking to media persons in Peshawar, the Information Minister asked the Election Commission of Pakistan to take requisite steps for ensuring transparency in the Senate elections in the light of the Supreme Court's decision.

Shibli Faraz said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is fighting from the first day against corruption.
