In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat leaders have paid rich tributes to noted Kashmiri physician, Dr Abdul Ahad Guru, on his 30th martyrdom anniversary.

In their statements in Sri Nagar, APHC leaders including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous and others said that despite being highly educated, well-off and a reputed heart surgeon, Dr Abdul Ahad Guru joined the freedom movement and laid down his life for the Kashmir cause.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed grave concern over the surge in killing of innocent Kashmiris by Indian troops.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, it deplored that the troops have turned occupied Jammu and Kashmir into a slaughter house where innocent and educated youth are being killed in fake encounters.

The party demanded an independent probe into all incidents of extra-judicial killings of Kashmiri youth by the Indian troops.

On the other side, Indian police arrested two innocent Kashmiri youth from Saidapora Payeen area of Shopian district. The police dubbed the arrested youth as members of a mujahid organization to justify their illegal detention.
