More than two thousand people have been confirmed dead in the earthquake that struck Myanmar last Friday.

The magnitude 7.7 earthquake caused widespread damage in the Southeast Asian country, including in the capital Naypyidaw. 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also spoke with his Myanmar counterpart Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and conveyed deepest condolences over the loss of precious lives and property due to the devastating earthquake.
