The Interim government of Afghanistan has expressed desire for positive engagement with the world.

Talking to the AFP, Deputy spokesman of Afghan government Bilal Karimi said that internal issues such as curbs on women's rights should not factor into decisions about diplomatic engagement and formal recognition.
