The Government has decided to increase the existing prices of petroleum products in view of rise in oil prices in global market.
According to a notification issued by the Finance Division, the prices of petrol have been increased by two rupees per liter and the new prices will be 112.69 rupees, the prices of High Speed Diesel and Light Diesel have been increased by 1.44 rupees and 3.72 per liter respectively. The new prices of high speed diesel will be 113.99 rupees and light diesel 83.40 rupees per litre.
The prices of Kerosene Oil have been increased by 3.86 rupees per liter and the new prices will be Rs. 85.75.
The new prices came into effect mid last night.
The government has been maintaining prices of petroleum product since May 1, 2021 despite increase in prices at the international oil market by adjusting taxes and has provided subsidy of 252.41 billion rupees to consumers.
The petroleum prices in Pakistan are still the lowest in the region.
