First Lady Asifa Bhutto Zardari has congratulated Ms Han Seong-sook on her appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea.  

In a statement, she said Ms Han’s appointment reflects her distinguished record of leadership in the fields of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship. She noted that the appointment represents an important milestone for the advancement of women in leadership and public service.

She also expressed the hope that, during Prime Minister Han Seong-sook’s tenure, the friendly relations and cooperation between Pakistan and the Republic of Korea would be further strengthened for the mutual benefit of the two countries and their peoples.
