The Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt has opened for the first time since the Israel-Hamas war erupted.
Gaza Borders and Crossings Authority in a statement said that more than 500 foreign nationals and dual citizens will be allowed to leave the enclave.
Meanwhile, Egyptian ambulances started entering the Gaza Strip via the Rafah border crossing in preparation to transport critically injured Palestinian patients for treatment in Egyptian hospitals.
Cars and trucks have started moving towards Gaza, along with preparations in Egypt to provide further humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave.
On the other hand Qatar mediated an agreement between Egypt, Israel and Hamas, in coordination with the US, to allow for the movement of foreign passport holders and some critically injured people out of besieged Gaza.
The agreement would allow the movement of foreign passport holders and some critically injured people through the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza, though there is no timeline for how long the Rafah crossing will remain open for evacuation.
