Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says the untiring efforts of the government and all state institutes are bearing fruits as investments are flowing in the country from all friendly countries of the world.
In an interview with PTV tonight, he said Pakistan is opening up to the world with a better diplomacy and lucrative environment for business and investment.
The Minister lamented that there was a time during PTI's tenure when the country was facing international isolation. He, however, reiterated the incumbent government's resolve to improve Pakistan's ties with all friendly countries and elevate its international stature and dignity.
He said the country is heading towards economic stability with the support of friends and partners in the world.
He mentioned that the Prime Minister had very fruitful and productive meetings with the Saudi Crown Prince, Emir of Qatar and other leaders during his visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
To a question, the Minister said all MoUs signed with our friendly countries are workable and are being materialized.
Giving details, he said work has started on five to six out of 34 MoUs signed with Saudi Arabia.
Attaullah Tarar said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has already entered the second phase, investments from UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia have also witnessed a steep upswing.
He said bilateral ties with Russia have improved while all central Asian countries are interested in enhancing trade with Pakistan.
The Minister highlighted the enthusiasm of Vietnamese Prime Minister during a recent interaction with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to transform bilateral ties with Pakistan into strong trade and business relations.
To a question about terrorism in the country, the Minister reaffirmed the government's unflinching resolve to completely root out the menace from the country.
He said the federal government is ready to extend all out support to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for capacity building of counter terrorism and other provincial departments.
He said hosting of SCO Summit is testament of the confidence of international community in Pakistan that it can host any international event.
Talking about political situation and PTI's repeated protest calls, Attaullah Tarar said PTI protest is not understandable when the country has already taken off on an upward trajectory.
He said PTI is badly divided into factions and all their public protests have been rejected by the people.
The Minister said PTI has no street power as people have disassociated themselves from them.
