US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said Pakistan is concerned about terrorist attacks being sponsored from Afghan territory.

He was addressing a news conference following the G20 Foreign Ministers' Summit in Atlanta.

Marco Rubio said Islamabad feels that the Taliban have not done enough to constrain these attacks, compelling Pakistan to take countermeasures.

He said the United States has heard Islamabad's concerns and does not want Pakistan to be targeted by terrorism.

Marco Rubio further said the United States is ready to play a constructive role in this regard, despite not having close relations with the Taliban.
