PAL organizes literary session with Dr. Wahid Ahmed

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) has arranged a literary session with renowned Novelist, poet and intellectual Dr. Waheed Ahmed under its series ‘Meet a Writer over Cup of Tea’.

Chairman PAL Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim Bughio, Deputy Secretary National History and Literary Heritage Rab Nawaz Abbasi and writers including Fakhra Noureen, Mehboob Zafar, Ali Akbar Abbas, Afshan Abbas, Mazhar ul haque, Saeed Raja, Anjum Khaleeq, Akhtar Raza Salimi, Ali Yasir, Hassan Abbas Raza, M. Masood Iqbal Hashmi and others participated in the session, said a press release.

Dr. Wahid Ahmed said basically he was a progressive writer despite the fact that he did not belong to any group.

“Ameer khusro Nietzsche and Majeed Amjad are his heroes and he derives his inspiration from these three writers,” he said.

Dr. Muhammad Qasim Bughio said Dr. Waheed Ahmed was a renowned Nazm writer besides being a good prose writer.

Kishwer Naheed said Dr. Waheed Ahmed has his own style of writing which was different from his contemporaries. She said Waheed Writes on his own will without any fear of liking or disliking.
