April 02, 2023

Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Mufti Abdul Shakoor says the government is committed to provide maximum facilitation to the intending pilgrims.

He said this while participating in Radio Pakistan's Special Ramadan transmission "Paigham-e- Ramadan'' in Islamabad on Sunday.

The Minister said that some 179,210 pilgrims will perform Hajj this year. He said a two-time meal in buffet style will be served to the pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia.

He said we are thankful to the Saudi Government for providing accommodations to Pakistani Hujjaj on reasonable prices, despite hike in taxes.

Renowned Clinical Dietitian Roomaisa Basit also participated in the transmission. She advised the people to ensure essential nutrients like proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates and minerals in their food intakes during Sehar and Iftar timings.

It is pertinent to mention that Radio Pakistan's Ramadan Transmission is becoming immensely popular among listeners for enlightening them on multiple topics like religious and health issues.
