Prime Minister's Advisor on Climate Change, Malik Amin Aslam has said 200 events are being held across the country while 190 distribution points have been established to plant 1.5 million plants in a day.

Talking to PTV on Sunday, he said that it is the only option to meet the challenges of climate change in the country as forest cover is declining due to deforestation.

He said that we will make Pakistan green by planting 10 billion in the country as is it is necessary for the future of Pakistan and for coming generation.

He said people are being given free of cost saplings at distribution points across the country and this campaign aimed to encourage people, organizations, business and industry and government to collectively plant trees.

Amin Aslam said the government is also working to monitor the melting of glaciers to save the humans lives in any flood situation.
