The rally participants carried banners featuring pictures of Ali Shah Gillani and his famous quotes.

They praised Ali Shah Gillani's lifelong struggle for the freedom of Kashmir and his relentless fight for the basic right of self-determination for the Kashmiri people.

In their speeches, they said that Ali Shah Gillani spent a significant portion of his life in the freedom movement, reaching out to remote areas of Kashmir and Jammu to organize resistance movements.

The protesters emphasized that Ali Shah Gillani Shaheed always preached respect for people of all religions in the occupied state.

They also highlighted that Ali Shah Gillani consistently demanded the resolution of the Kashmir issue in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions, as per the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

Moreover, they remembered that Syed Ali Gillani started a people's revolution against Indian military occupation in every city and town of Indian illegally occupied Kashmir. The protesters also acknowledged that Gillani was an ardent supporter of Jammu and Kashmir's accession to Pakistan.

Ali Shah Gillani's martyrdom was followed by restrictions on travel and internet in Occupied Kashmir. An FIR was also registered against his family members for wrapping his body in a Pakistani flag and raising pro-freedom slogans.
