Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique says Pakistan Railways has signed a three-year agreement with a Chinese Company CRRC Ziyang for overhauling and maintenance of locomotives imported from China.

Addressing a high-level meeting at the Railways Headquarters in Lahore onSaturday, he said the Chinese company will follow a schedule of overhauling and maintenance of locomotives on quarterly, biannual and annual basis.

The Railways Minister was briefed during the meeting that this agreement will help reduce the complaints of locomotives' failure in summer season and ensure smooth train operation.
