Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced the upgradation of National Police Academy.

Chairing a meeting during a visit to the academy in Islamabad, he directed the development of a new master plan for the National Police Academy, emphasizing it will be turned into a world class institution.

He said restructuring of the National Police Academy must be completed within three months. He said immediate steps should be taken to grant National Police Academy the status of a university.  

Mohsin Naqvi said courses will also be introduced in the academy in fields such as counter-terrorism, anti-riots and cyber security.
