Ministry of Railways and Sindh Government have agreed to start work on revival of Karachi Circular Railway to facilitate the people.
Talking to media persons in Karachi on Monday the Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad said it is our utmost effort to commence the project as soon as possible which is part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
On the occasion, the Spokesman of Sindh government Murtaza Wahab said that KCR project will cost two hundred billion rupees.
Earlier, the Minister met with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in Karachi today and discussed Karachi Circular Railway project.
The Chief Minister on this occasion told the Minister that out of 38 kilometer, 30 kilometers track of KCR has been got cleared from encroachments.
Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed said that administration of Karachi Urban Transport Corporation will be handed over to Sindh government.
