APHC calls for meaningful dialogue b/w Pakistan, India to resolve Kashmir dispute
February 03, 2025

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called for a meaningful dialogue between Pakistan and India to resolve the Kashmir dispute.

APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, emphasized that India's claim of Jammu and Kashmir being its integral part is baseless, as the territory remains a disputed region and its final solution is to be found in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions.

The APHC spokesperson expressed hope that both Pakistan and India would avoid war over Kashmir and return to a meaningful dialogue process to resolve the issue in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq during his visit to Jamia Masjid and Fatehpuri Masjid in New Delhi, met prominent religious figures and highlighted the prevailing situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Legal experts have rejected India’s 2019 actions as illegal and ineffective and stressed that the territory’s status must be decided through a UN-supervised plebiscite.
