Pakistan has developed a domestically produced ICU ventilator, AlnnoVent AVB-100, achieving a ground-breaking success in healthcare technology innovation.
The inaugural ceremony of the indigenously developed ventilator was held in Islamabad today.
Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain was the chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing the event, the Minister said the ventilator, developed by Alsons Group, will not only strengthen Pakistan's healthcare infrastructure but also establish the country as a formidable player in the global medical technology market.
He said developing high-quality medical devices locally would create new opportunities for Pakistan, contributing to economic growth and generating employment.
The Minister said Pakistan currently spends nearly two billion dollars annually on importing biomedical devices, including essential equipment for healthcare.
The AlnnoVent AVB-100 is designed to provide critical support to Intensive Care Units, addressing the growing demand for life-saving equipment.
