Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the reduction in inflation rate for the last month, hitting the lowest mark in nine years.
In a statement today, he said the Consumer Price Index inflation has decreased to 2.4 percent in January 2025 as compared to 4.1 percent in December 2024.
Shehbaz Sharif said gradual reduction in inflation is welcoming. He said with the decline in prices of edible items, the life of common man is improving. He added that the decline in inflation is showing positive development indicators in all sectors.
The Prime Minister said the reduction in the inflation rate is a testament to the government's economic policies and measures being in the right direction.
Shehbaz Sharif said the government is working tirelessly to further reduce inflation, improve the life of the common man, and ensure national welfare. He said Pakistan is on the path to economic growth after achieving economic stability.
