Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said the world must take note of Pakistan’s immense sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
He was talking to a delegation of students from London Business School, which called on him in Islamabad on Monday.
The Prime Minister said that the government has worked hard to bring peace and now it is focused on economic and social development for the citizens.
He said the government has established new power plants and allied infrastructure to meet its growing energy requirements.
He said that a network of over 1700 kilometers of six-lane motorways across Pakistan is being built under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to improve connectivity within the country and with the broader region.
The Prime Minister urged the students to visit various cities of Pakistan and to see for themselves the progress it has made besides witnessing the peace and stability in the country.
The students were also briefed from Prime Minister's Special Assistant Ali Jehangir Siddiqui regarding the structure and working of the executive branch of the Government and Pakistan’s external relations.
Most of the students are visiting Pakistan for the first time.
